Your Committee
Caley Wildcat - The event Mascot and Head of Mischief.
Like all Scottish Wildcats, Caley is very hard to find but if you keep your eyes peeled she can sometimes be seen at geocaching events and even out finding geocaches.
Ian/ N0hope - Chair.
Ian has been geocaching since 2013 and has over 2300 finds and over 100 active hides. He was the Chair of the 2019 Geocoinfest Europe Mega Event which was the first Mega to be held in a UK city centre. Ian lives in the Lowther Hills in Southern Scotland, has geocached in 17 different countries and his favourite find was GC4E279 Norges nordligste - Knivskjellodden which was the most northern cache on mainland Europe with a 7 hour hike to get there and back.

Kirsty/ Kirsty&Steve - Committee Member
We’ve been Geocaching for about 10 years, however we only became more obsessed over the last 6. Having only attending our first event in 2021 we now try to attend events which are close to where we happen to be at the time. We have even attended an event in Cyprus where all attendees were from a different country! I love a good series of caches preferably on a circular walk with plenty of different cache types to find.
Steve/ Kirsty&Steve - Committee Member
Kirsty introduced Steve to Geocaching several years ago, a pastime we often enjoy as a couple during our leisure time.
Although we live near Preston, Lancashire, we travel up to Scotland regularly, visiting our base in Southerness.
We have become more serious in recent years, keeping an eye on various challenges and placing our first caches just over three years ago. Most of these are in D&G, including the pathways up The Criffel and Knockendoch.
Steve particularly enjoyed completing the NC500 last year, completing a multitude of caches on the route. This included GCG6SD, Ben Nevis, Britain’s Highest Geocache.
Racheal / [Caching name] - Committee Member. A few lines about Racheal
Ally / Allyonthepiste - Committee Member.
I discovered caching in 2016, when my son was 10. We set up an account in his name and cached as a family. I’m now the only one of us still caching, sadly, so changed the name of the account.
The void is filled by 2 of my chums, who love caching as much as I do and we combine this with hillwalking.
Alison / &Ruby - Secretary.
Alison has been caching since 2011 and has over 8600 finds, and 9 active hides plus three sets Adventure Labs.
Alison describes herself as a serial volunteer, she was Chair of the UK Mega 2021, Lincolnshire, and she is currently Treasurer to Mega:MK (UK Mega 2023). She was also Treasurer to Geocoinfest 2019. She also has several voluntary roles outside geocaching.
Alison has cached in Germany and Belgium, but the majority of her finds are in the UK. Her favourite find is Cathedral Cavern Cache GC2CQB7, in the English Lake District.
